ZANZIBAR KITE SURFING SEASONS

The North Monsoon (Kaskazi) kitesurfing season starts in December and goes through to February with wind speeds from north of 12 – 25 knots most days and an average wind speeds of 15 – 18 knots.

During the South Monsoon (Kusi), you can kitesurf from May until October. Occasionally you will get southerly winds blowing as early as April with wind speeds of 12 – 25 knots most days. Average wind speeds you can expect are 15 – 18 knots. On balance, the wind is always good and reliable.

No longer are you stuck at the same resort kiting off the same beach. On a kite surfing yacht charter holiday we can take you away from the crowds to places where there are no other tourists and certainly no other kiters. You will literally have the place to yourself.

A yacht gives you the freedom to enjoy lively nights; live music, beach bars at restaurants and the following day head off to kite surfing on a deserted island away from the maddening crowds.

You don’t have to be a sailing fanatic to enjoy island hopping on a catamaran. catamaran yachts are very stable and spacious guests have the freedom to move around the vessel, sunbathe on the trampoline, relax in the cockpit, snorkel, kayak or try your luck at fishing.

Guests are also welcome to participate in sailing the boat if you wish and by the end of the trip you should be able to lift anchor, hoist, sails and even take the helm by yourself.
ZANZIBAR ANCHORAGES
The anchorages, islands and bays we visit are all protected from the ocean swells and the beach is usually within comfortable swimming distance. The crew is always at hand to help you ashore in the tender and it is often possible to launch your kite directly from the catamaran!
ACTIVITIES & NON-KITE SURFERS

For non-kiters there is no end to what you can do while the kiters kite.

On board we have a range of water-sports gear. Try Stand up Paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba diving or fishing. Explore beaches, and islands, swim, read, learn to sail the yacht or just lay back and relax. For non-kiters it will be an island adventure cruise to remember!
