 Beach Resorts and Yachts

Add on a Beach Resort to your Yacht Charter holiday

Yacht and Beach Resort Combinations

Mauritius Island Resorts & Mauritius Yacht Combinations

Mauritius has many top end luxury beach resorts so if you want to add on a few days at a resort before or after a yacht charter the choices are huge. It all depends on what your preferences is and what sort of experience you are looking for, as well as budget of course, but where ever you stay you are assured of a wonderful time.

At some resorts, the yacht can literally meet you at the beach or drop you off at the resort, for others you will need to get a road transfer to or from our yacht base. However, the island is small and this is easy to do.

The best thing would be to ask us for some ideas and options based on your budget and personal preferences and the sort of experience you are looking for and we can make some suggestions.

African Safaris

Combining a Yacht Charter with an African Safari is easy.

African Safaris

African Safaris & Mauritius

With only a 4 hour flight from either South Africa, Kenya or Tanzania to Mauritius, you can easily add an Africa Safari to a Mauritius yacht charter or beach resort and you will have a sensational Beach and Bush, Sail and Safari holiday.

EAST AFRICA SAFARIS

We highly recommend combining Mauritius with an East Africa safari because there are daily flights direct between Nairobi and Dar es Salaam and all the major safari destinations in East Africa, so its very easy to connect the two destinations.

The choice of East Africa safari camps and safari lodges are huge and the option you go for will depend on what sort of experiences you are looking for and your budget, as prices vary greatly.

You can be on safari in the morning and on a luxury yacht or island resort in the afternoon!

SOUTHERN AFRICA & SOUTH AFRICA

Its also very easy to combine Mauritius with other Southern African destinations, because there are also daily flights between Mauritius and Johannesburg in South Africa, which is one of the main air hubs connecting most of the major safari destinations in Southern Africa such as Botswana, Zambia and Namibia

Best Time to Go

Mauritius enjoys a tropical climate all year round with water temperature varying between 23 et 28 degrees Celsius. The island doesn't have a drastic change of season, although the best season to charter a yacht is between Sept and May. The summer temperature from January to April can be hot and humid and stay around 26 degrees Celsius.

Mauritius is also a land of contrast as the western and northern are warmer and drier than the east and the south. July and September are usually dry seasons, and the temperature is more comfortable and stays around 25 degrees Celsius, which are the most popular months to visit. December through March offers translucent waters and is the best time for divers. Although there are risks of cyclones between November and February, it is a rare occurrence in the small island.
