Latham Island Fishing Charters operate during the calmer months of October through to mid-December. Then again from late February through to end of April.
Charters depart from Stone Town, Zanzibar.
Latham Island Fishing Charters
Latham Island is a small flat coral island found 60 km south-east of Zanzibar main island and surrounded by a shallow fringing reef which drops of into the surrounding deeper water. The island is uninhabited apart from important sea bird colony's and the marine life is what makes Latham Island a real gem!
The reef is approximately 10 nautical miles long by 4 nautical miles at it's widest point and the reefs are populated by large pelagic fish, including sharks, and healthy populations of several species of Groupers and Rock-Cod, as well as common sightings of Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo, Billfish, and much more.
Fishing Charter trips to Latham start from Zanzibar. We offer trips of 3 to 7 nights at Latham Island or we can continue on to Mafia Island and the Southern Archipelago on longer charters if your time allows.
The great thing about fishing at Latham Island is that when you need a break you can go ashore, view the birds, sunbathe, relax or snorkel on the shallow reefs, before getting back to fishing again.
We have our own yachts and are one of the only companies in East Africa offering live aboard charters to Latham Island.
