Accessible by a 45-minute private motorized catamaran or a scenic 7-minute helicopter transfer from Vilanculos, this secluded sanctuary epitomizes barefoot luxury and refined privacy. Pambele is one of the most beautiful beach houses in Mozambique. Set on 200 metres of beachfront on the San Sebastian Peninsula, the shaggy-thatched villas overlook the Bazaruto Marine National Park and is backed by a huge private sanctuary.
The house itself was built using local materials and the furniture was carved by the village woodsmen deliberately designed to maximise guests' interaction with nature.
Nestled on white sandy shoreline, the luxury villas offer sleeping accommodation for up to 10 people in four separate villas. All guest villas are set on the beachfront and spaced well apart, offering privacy and seclusion. The villas are just a short walk to a central dhow bar, a thatched relaxation area and rim-flow swimming pool which overlooks the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
The gorgeous, but comfortable central lounge area offers not just a chance to relax in the evening, but also an opportunity to enjoy a cocktail whilst watching the fiery sunsets over the Bazaruto Archipelago.
Exclusive use means just that, you and your party will have the run of the property for the entirety of your stay and be able to plan the break that you want so that your every need is catered for. There are regular flights from Johannesburg that bring you to Vilanculos where we will meet you and transfer you to the beach house.

Constructed from an antique local dhow which brings the sea right into this delightful location, our unique bar area offers the perfect meeting place in the centre of the property for a cool refreshing drink during the day. Included in the rate are all household beverages (water, soft drinks, tea/coffee, juices, basic spirits, local beers and wines).
A kidney-shaped infi nity pool is complemented with a covered whirlpool and shallower pool for children. The area is also surrounded by comfortable deck loungers and a selection of soft seating options.
Central lounge and dining area:
Due to the exclusive and totally private nature of Pambele, we are able
to create unique dining areas in various locations offering you the opportunity to dine under the stars on the beach, by the light of hurricane lamps and local lanterns in the near bush, romantic candle lit dinners in one of the small pagodas overlooking the pool and the sea.
Our Winter Room is an enclosed lounge with fi replace, satellite TV, DVD, video, music and library of reference and coffee table books plus a selection of novels.

4 Private Beach Villas

World’s View Villa
One of the two largest villas at Pambele and offers stunning, luxury accommodation. The en-suite double room with twin indoor showers includes a sweeping comfortable lounge with a large open central fireplace. Ample comfy built in seating and chairs create a very relaxing environment.
The beautiful stone covered outdoor shower offers guests a wonderful alfresco experience. After a day’s activities guests can relax in a small plunge pool on their private deck or enjoy the seabreeze on a double swing daybed in the outdoor seating area.
Pelican Villa
A similar layout to World’s View with a stunning spacious living area, large double bedroom, twin showers and secluded outdoor shower area.
The outside deck offers a selection of seating as well as a double swing daybed for a romantic location to watch the sunset over the Archipelago.
The generous open plan living room has a superb central open fire with circular feature wall, which allows the room to flow around you.
Family villas
The family villa offers two en-suite double rooms, Bangwe and Mazarette, which share an indoor seating area and a large outdoor sunken lounge. The beautiful stone covered outdoor showers offer guest a wonderful alfresco experience.
Bangwe offers a large comfortable bedroom as well as a walk in shower and separate WC. Bangwe also offers a separate small bedroom incorporated into the villa which would be suitable for a cot or child.
Mazarette is similar in layout to Bangwe, and provides a large comfortable bedroom as well as a walk in shower and separate WC. There is a built in daybed which could be used as a bed for a small child under the age of five.
This family villa offers the opportunity for two groups of friends to be closer to each other, or for a larger family to be together under one roof.

Dining & Cuisine
The fully catered package means you we will do everything, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. The cuisine is simple and delicious using the freshest of ingredients.
All meals are included. Fresh seafood including the world famous Mozambique prawns, crab, lobster, octopus and fish is served regularly and often brought straight from the beach. The chefs will bake bread, croissants and muffins daily.
Daily canapés at sundown are freshly prepared and served at the dhow bar.
For dinner a three-course e meal is usually served around 7.30pm (although flexible depending on what you have done during the day).
The villa try and cater for most dietary requirements, special requirements and preferences.
